The Bulldogs split the first 2 games on Friday before winning the 2nd Round series against Elmore County in Game 3 on Saturday. The win sets up a Playoff version of the Battle of Old Shell Road this weekend vs St. Paul's in the Quarterfinals of the State Playoffs.

In the decisive third game on Saturday, the Bulldogs took the lead with 2 runs in the bottom of the 4
th inning and held on to clinch the series.
Ty Waters was the winning pitcher allowing 2 runs on 5 hits in the complete game victory. Waters struck out 5 Panther batters.
Jeff Holston's RBI double gave the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead in the 1
st inning, but the Panthers answered in the 2
nd inning to take a 2-1 lead. In the 4
th,
Manning Amorde's 2 RBI single put the Bulldogs back on top for good. Holston and Colby Weaver both had 2 hits in the game.
UMS-Wright will host St. Paul's at Radcliff Field in a State Quarterfinal series beginning Friday at 4:00PM. Game 2 will be immediately following, with Game 3 (if necessary) scheduled for Saturday at 1:00 PM.
