The UMS-Wright Bulldogs boys golf team competed in the 19th annual Bradley Johnson Memorial at the prestigious Founders Course of Greystone Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama. This elite, invitation-only tournament, hosted by the Johnson family and Spain Park High School, has extended an invitation to UMS-Wright every year due to the program's continued success.

Looking to post a strong opening-round score, the Bulldogs came out swinging to keep themselves in contention. They recorded a 12-over-par 300 on day one, placing them within striking distance of the lead. Senior Thomas Crane led the way with a 73, while fellow senior Pierce Guy, making his debut in the lineup, followed closely with a 74. Freshman Henry Brown posted a solid 76, with sophomore Witt Cayce just behind at 77. Junior Parker Crabtree rounded out the scoring with an 82.

Sitting in fourth place and only seven strokes off the lead, the Bulldogs looked to capitalize on day two—typically their best scoring round. They delivered one of their lowest team scores of the season, shooting a 294. Brown led the charge, firing a two-under-par 70, marking his fourth sub-par tournament round of the season. Seniors Crane and Guy remained consistent, each carding another 73. Cayce and Crabtree also improved, both shooting a 78, as all five Bulldogs broke 80 on the challenging layout.

With another top-five finish, the Bulldogs placed fourth overall, finishing behind Mountain Brook, Vestavia, and Hoover. This strong showing adds to their impressive season, as they continue to compete against some of the best teams in the state.
