Through the first month of their season, the 8th grade volleyball team has compiled an impressive 14-4 record and are undefeated in their conference.  In fact, the girls have only dropped 2 sets through 7 conference games.  Outside of conference play, they have competed in two weekend tournaments.  At the Labor Day classic, the Bulldogs went undefeated in pool play before falling to Orange Beach in bracket play. Last weekend, the girls played in the Spanish Fort 8th Grade Invitational tournament, finishing as the runner up.  They avenged that earlier loss to Orange Beach, beating the Makos 2-1 in pool play.  They lost to Fairhope early in the day, but came back to beat the Pirates in the semifinal round of the bracket.  Host Spanish Fort won the tournament, defeating UMS-Wright 2-0 in the final. Nelly Reynolds, Eliza Reynolds, Sadie Davis, and Eden McGorty were all named to the All-Tournament team.

    The Bulldogs have 5 remaining conference games in the regular season and will travel to Bayside this Thursday before wrapping up their season with games against Cottage Hill, Saraland, St. Paul's and St. Luke's.  The conference tournament is scheduled for October 6th and 7th with the second day hosted at UMS-Wright.
