The Boys Bowling team continued their undefeated season this week at the AHSAA 1A-5A South Regional Tournament.  The South Regional qualifies and then seeds teams for the State Tournament, and the Bulldogs won all of their Regional matches to earn the #1 seed from the South!  Pierce Guy, Matthew Monson, Jackson Smith and Joseph Price were all named to the All Region Team as UMS-Wright knocked off Hale County, Beauregard and Elberta to capture the top seed and qualify for the State Tournament.  Monson (2nd) and Chandler Taylor (5th) were both "Top 8" in the individual competition.

In the elimination match against Hale County, the Bulldogs crushed the Wildcats 1245-1102 to advance to the seeding round.  In the first match, UMS-Wright scored 1477 points to beat Beauregard by 125 pins.  Against Elberta, with the #1 seed on the line, UMS-Wright won a close contest 1248-1209.

The State tournament is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday here in Mobile at Bowlero.
