The Middle School Baseball teams traveled to Saraland this week, and both teams lost close games to the Spartans. The 7th grade team fell 1-0 and the 8th grade team lost 6-3. The 8th Grade Bulldogs have are 5-3 entering the last two weeks of their season.
7th Grade
UMS-Wright 7th Grade Baseball lost a nail biter at Saraland Middle School 1-0 on Monday night. Pitcher
Jackson Hughes delivered an excellent performance on the mound. Hughes conceded only three hits and one walk.
UMS struggled to gain any offensive momentum.
Hayes Loftin and
Patton Meek each contributed a hit for the Bulldogs.
8th Grade
Colby Weaver delivered a strong performance on the mound as the Bulldogs built a 2-1 lead that they held for most of the game. UMS-Wright could only manage two hits from Mack Keaten and
Win Elliott. Saraland's late-game surge proved to be the deciding factor, and the Bulldogs fell to Saraland 6-3.
