Coach Kelly Hargett enters her first season as the Freshman Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach.  Coach Hargett is a native of Bay Minette, AL and graduated from Baldwin County High School in 2002 as a Valedictorian where she played and lettered in volleyball and softball for four years and basketball for two years (freshman and sophomore seasons).  In volleyball, she was captain of the team in 2001, named to the All-County team for four years, the All-Area team in 2001, and the 6A Coaches All-State Selection team in 2000 and 2001. She was selected as a member of the Mobile Press Register Super 12 volleyball team in 2000 and 2001.  In softball, she was named to the All-County team for three years, selected as a member of the Mobile Press Register Super 12 softball team in 2002, and selected as the Baldwin County Defensive Player of the Year.  She was named the BCHS Female Athlete of the Year in 2002.  In August of 2016, Hargett was inducted into the Baldwin County High School Athletic Hall of Fame.  

Coach Hargett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Spring Hill in 2006 and a Master’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Alabama.  Hargett received an athletic scholarship and played four years of volleyball for Spring Hill College as a Libero. At Spring Hill College, she was named NAIA All-Conference team in 2005; Spring Hill Classic All-Tournament team in 2005; and Athletic All-Academic team in 2004 and 2005. She is in the record books at Spring Hill College for most digs in a single season. 

Hargett began her high school coaching career in 2011 and was the Head Volleyball coach at Alma Bryant High School for 10 seasons. Under Hargett, Bryant had six Regional/Super Regional tournament appearances and in 2016 clinched the 7A Area 1 Title, becoming the first volleyball team in school history to do so.  She has coached club volleyball on and off since 2006 across the Mobile and Baldwin County areas.  She currently coaches club at Mobile Storm Volleyball Club.  Coach Hargett is an ACCESS Distance Learning Teacher for Troy University and the Physical Education Teacher at Council Traditional School.  She loves spending time with her family, nieces Madalyn and Palmer and nephew Owen.  She also enjoys time on her boat, in her jeep, and playing with her three dogs.
