Coach Luke Spaulding enters his 6th year as a Varsity Boys Basketball Assistant Coach. Prior to coming to UMS-Wright, he spent 5 years as a Varsity Boys Assistant and Head JV Coach at McGill-Toolen Catholic. During his tenure at McGill Toolen, Coach Spaulding helped lead the varsity team to 3 area titles, 3 sweet sixteen appearances, and one elite eight finish. His five JV teams compiled an aggregate record of 81-25 (76%).
A native of Mobile, AL, Coach Spaulding graduated from McGill-Toolen before he went on to earn both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Alabama, where he lettered in football (2005-2006).
Coach Spaulding is employed by IBERIABANK in Mobile where he is the Vice President of Commercial Banking. He is married to the former Ashley Gorday. They have a son John (K5) and a daughter Ann (2).
