Christy Alford

Coach Christy Alford begins her fifth season as Head Girls Soccer Coach at UMS-Wright. Last season, although cut short, the Lady Bulldogs finished strong with a winning record. Coach Alford also teaches Lower School PE, but will be helping as a K4 assistant this year. 

Coach Alford came to UMS-Wright from Semmes Middle School where she coached soccer and taught Middle School PE. Prior to returning to Mobile, Coach Alford was a Graduate Assistant for the Women's Soccer team at the University of Texas, where she received her master's degree in Kinesiology.

A native of San Antonio, Texas, Coach Alford first came to Alabama to play soccer at the University of Mobile. During her time there, she was a 3-time All-American and remains the program's 2nd leader in all-time assists and 3rd leader in all-time goals and points.  She has also been named an Academic All-American.  Coach Alford earned her bachelor's degree in Human Performance and Exercise Science. She has been married to her husband Chase for 5 years, and they have a 2 year old daughter named Blakeleigh- the soccer team’s biggest fan.
