Coach Daniel Williford returns to the Varsity staff this year again as the Bulldogs’ Defensive Line Coach. This will be his second year in this particular position on the staff while helping on the sidelines in various rolls two years prior to that.
Coach Williford is a graduate of Daphne High School where he lettered 4 years in baseball under Coach Lloyd Skoda and was part of the 1993 5A State Championship team. He attended and played baseball at Faulkner State Community College, then transferred to The University of Mobile to play baseball. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems with a Minor in Business. Coach Williford was drafted in 1999 from UM to the Arizona Diamondbacks where he played in the Minors for 3 seasons. He currently works as a Designer for Austal USA.
Coach Williford and his wife Kellie were married in 2002. They have two sons who attend UMS-Wright. Jackson is a junior, and Braydon is a freshman.
