Assistant Football Coach

Coach Jerry Simons has been at UMS-Wright for 30 years. He is currently an Assistant Middle School Football Coach.

Coach Simons spent 11 years teaching and coaching in the Mobile County Public School System. He is a graduate of the University of South Alabama, where he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees.

Coach Simons and his wife Mary Lou have two daughters, Allison Robinson and Caroline Gwin, who both graduated from UMS-Wright. He also has 3 grandchildren: Leland Robinson (10), Mary Alice Robinson (9), Thomas Gwin (1).
