The UMS-Wright Club Lacrosse team defeated Ascension Pelicans 10-8 in the Finals of the GSSL Conference Tournament on Saturday night. It is the first Conference championship for the Bulldog Lacrosse program.
Jack Steed was named the Finals MVP.
Thomas Landers was the offensive player of the game and Wren Landers was the defensive player of the game. In the first two rounds of the tournament, the Bulldogs cruised to victories over Southern Elite (15-3) and Regents School of Oxford (15-4). The Bulldogs finished the season with an 11-3 record.
