UMS-Wright JV Team Starts the Season Strong with Impressive Performances

The UMS-Wright JV golf teams have kicked off the 2025 season with some fantastic performances. The JV Bulldogs have proven themselves on the course early on, showcasing impressive skills and teamwork.

On February 26th, both the JV Grey and White teams took to the course at Azalea City Golf Course, competing against six other schools. The Grey team emerged victorious, finishing in first place with an outstanding team score of 165. Meanwhile, the White team battled hard and secured a respectable fifth-place finish with a score of 179.

Just a few weeks later, on March 12, 2025, the JV Bulldogs continued their strong play at Spring Hill Golf Course. The JV Grey team tied for first place with a score of 176, matching Fairhope's score and narrowly edging out St. Paul's by a single stroke. The six-team field faced perfect weather conditions, though the challenging greens made for a tough competition. The JV White team also performed well, finishing in fourth place with a score of 182.

In addition to the JV teams, the UMS-Wright Middle School and Middle School 150 Division also had a great start to their season. The team includes some familiar faces, such as Alex Mattei and Harrison Bridges, as well as seven new golfers, adding fresh energy and talent to the squad.

With promising performances and a solid mix of experience and new talent, the future looks bright for the UMS-Wright golf program this season. Keep an eye out for more exciting results from the Bulldogs as they continue to compete in upcoming matches.
